My name is Felecia Eaton, and my life has been changed forever because of my work with The Kia Young Tate.  I began working with Kia in February of 2021 and you won’t believe how she has turned my life around. I have known Kia for 30 years; we are friends and eternal Line Sister in the sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta.  I’ve always admired Kia for her leadership and her genuine relationships with others.  

So, I was laid off from my six-figure pharmaceutical sales job in 2017, but had no money saved and had blown through my 401K.  I returned to this industry in February of 2021 and this time I was determined to be more responsible with my earnings and do a better job at preparing for my children’s future. I gained a better understanding of my finances and what needed to happen moving forward, but then she hit me with the statement; “Felecia you have to have another stream of income.”  Although, I have always thought that I had many gifts and talents, I was trying to do them all at once, I was all over the place and going nowhere.  Through Kia’s goal setting and detailed exploration of what I loved and what I was most confident to bring to life, I am now the Founder and CEO of The Focus Group.  The Focus Group is a hybrid of one-on-one executive career coaching and an online career progression course that will have a transformational impact on the world.    

See, when I was laid off from my job in 2017, I went from making $40K in 2018 to $70K in 2020 and finally to $160K in 2021.  Basically, I tripled my salary in 3 years, and I documented every step of the way.  Once I started writing about my career progression, all I could see where the millions of people that I could help with my program.  Within the first month of my one-on-one coaching program, I closed 6 clients and created an additional income of $6,000 in one month and that was just the beginning. 

Through it all, Kia has been my biggest cheerleader and voice of reason.  She has toned my excitement down and helped me to get laser focused on what was urgent and necessary.
